Exercise and Healthy Living Programs

Food
Health Ministry members present health snack options and provide nutritional education to the congregation for one month during the year at Coffee Hour.

Walking Group
Wednesdays, 6AM, Dix St parking lot
The walking group started as a program of our health ministry group and has been responsible for the early rising of members since 1998! A group of hearty walkers meet at the church (Dix St Parking lot) at 6AM on Wednesdays for a brisk 3 mile walk, and great conversation, weather permitting. All people and dogs are welcome. Ballroom Dancing
A group of spirited and fun members share dinner and dancing lessons in Chidley hall on Sunday nights. Dancing lessons run in sessions. For more information, or to sign up for the next session, contact Kathleen Zagata.

Yoga
Yoga classes are offered periodically throughout the year. Contact Kathleen Zagaga or watch the church calendar for upcoming classes.

Hiking/Biking Trips
Church members organize intergenerational hiking, biking, and snowshoeing trips on a regular basis. Signups are usually in Chidley Hall after the service. View the calendar for upcoming events, and stay tuned to the Spire for future fun. Contact Kathleen Zagata for more information.

Ski Trip
Each year in January students in 7th grade and up, along with adult chaperones and our Youth Minister, enjoy a weekend of skiing, prayer, fun, and reflection. For many youth this is the highlight of the church year! Students must earn "ski points" in order to be eligible for the trip. Points are easily earned by volunteering at church events and dinners.
